The deployed direct push machines have a rubber chain drive. The minimum space needed during their application are bewteen 1,2 m and 1,5 m width and 3,6 to 4,0 m height.
For operation within a building, a powerful exhaust extraction system is available, that allows a discharge of exhaust gas over a distance of up to 60 m.
Under particular cramped conditions or extreme low ceiling heights, a carriage can be used that is moved manually. The minimum ceiling height is then 2,3 m. The carriage has a very powerful hydraulic hammer and lift system, that are operated by the direct push machine. Thereby, the operation of any kind, even in basements, is possible. The reached depths are comparable to hydraulic probing machines.
If a MIP-system is neccessary, it can be mobilised in a separate vehicle.
