The direct-push technology allows the sampling of soil gas from defined selective depths as well as from depth ranges.
The soil gas collection systems use a steel vapour tip that is shielded during the driving process. Once the desired sampling depth is reached, gas is sampled via a small diameter tubing which runs down the center of the drive rod. Multilevel sampling points can be installed with DP-units for large unsaturated zones.
Depending on the aquifer depth, soil gas samplings down to 30 m are possible. For permanent soil gas monitoring, filters can be installed via the probe rods.
